Eric Lucero (former lead guitar player of Cuarenta y Cinco) has begun recording his solo CD. He will be collaborating with various musicians which consist of Mike Maldonado (Eric's Brother) and Eric Ortiz (of Al Hurricane Band) on trumpets, Martin Valdez (formerly of the Bryan Olivas Band) on bass, Patricia Sena on tenor sax, Brian Garcia (former drummer of the Young Guns and former sax player and vocalist of Orgullo) on alto sax,, and Eric on guitars and vocals. Also involved in the collaboration is special guest musician (engineer and producer), Archie Maestas on drums. Marshall Dean (ex-drummer of Cuarenta y Cinco) will be featured on one track on drums. This CD will consist of a variety of New Mexico music styles such as rancheras, cumbias etc. |
